We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Business Development Director, Trade Solutions. The base location of this role is London operating a Hybrid working model.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee a portfolio of Large Corporate and International Subsidiary Banking clients.
- Proactively identify and develop new Trade Solutions and Working Capital opportunities for HSBC.
- Assist in establishing new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers.
- Assist in the communication of new products, propositions and relevant market information to customers.
- Work closely with Structured Trade Solutions to provide innovative receivables and asset-based solutions to extant and new to bank businesses.
- Support plans and strategies to generate new business, as well as increase revenue for existing ones, in order to achieve asset growth, sales or revenue targets.
- Protect the bank's reputation and ensure an acceptable risk profile, whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Knowledge of Trade services and products – specifically Working Capital or Structured Trade solutions.
- Ability to interact with business customers at a senior and strategic level.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to self-generate opportunities and work alongside the wider Global Trade Solutions team.
- Detailed knowledge of Financial Crime Risk and Credit Risk including techniques to mitigate risk.
- Experience in driving team and individual performance to achieve customer and financial targets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis upon inspiring, influencing and negotiating in dealing with customers and colleagues.
- Proven ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions.
