Responsibilities
- Ensure all shipboard mechanical/electrical machinery and navigation electronics are operated and maintained in a safe, efficient manner.
- Have full budgetary responsibility of assigned vessels - ensuring they are always operational, safe, and efficient.
- Ensure planned vessel inspections are carried out, including preparation of the vessel for appropriate class/flag inspections.
- Take the lead on ensuring everyday maintenance & physical repairs, dry docks - and ensuring this work is carried out to the required industry standards.
- Be a Technical Vessel expert to support land-based, and on-board personnel.
Qualifications / Requirements
Someone with existing shoreside experience in a similar post, coupled with a background to 2nd Engineer and above.
