The below job description will outline this position of Sales Manager (Service Focussed).
Typically, this person will be responsible for maximising revenue from existing customer relationships within the assigned geographic territory. You will support the on-boarding and development of new accounts, with this role being a tactical, execution-focused position by converting warm leads and ensuring consistent coverage of accounts in the region. The Service Sales Manager works closely with the operations team to progress opportunities through to order.
Duties and responsibilities of the Sales Manager (Service Focussed):
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers in the assigned region
- Convert in-bound enquiries & warm lead enquiries into orders through strategic and committed follow-up
- Identify, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing accounts (services, engine sales, spare parts, workshop capabilities)
- Attend and conduct regular customer visits, maintaining relationships and understanding evolving business needs
- Pass qualified opportunities to the operations team for technical quoting
- Maintain accurate CRM records of all customer interactions, visits, and opportunity progress
- Collaborate with operations, service, technical, and marketing teams to deliver customer requirements
- Support the marketing team by contributing to campaign ideas, providing market intelligence, and following up on marketing-generated leads
- Provide regular reports on activity levels, pipeline status, and regional performance
- Attend exhibitions and industry events as required to support customer relationships
- Keep abreast of competitor activity and market developments
- Support the development of OEM partner relationships within the region
- Create and maintain a positive working relationship with key internal stakeholders to ensure seamless customer delivery
