HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Aerospace sectors. We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.
We are looking for a Marine Engineer to join a marine engineering business specialising in leisure boating. Our services include installation, servicing, and repairs of engines, along with electrical and plumbing work.
Our expertise covers inboards and outboards, diesel and petrol technology, and everything from small RIBs and auxiliary engines to large sailing and motor yachts.
As a Marine Engineer you will need to be confident and experienced in handling a wide range of tasks in these areas.
Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Engineer:
• Installation of a variety of mechanical and domestic equipment on both new and used boats
• Performing routine servicing according to manufacturer specifications or customer instructions, Conducting diagnostics and troubleshooting issues
• Responding to call-outs and providing both immediate and long-term solutions for clients
• Travel to attend boats locally and across the island
Qualifications and requirement for the Marine Engineer:
• Trained in the marine leisure industry is preferred but not mandatory
• Worked leading brands such as Volvo Penta, Honda Marine, Mercury, and Mercruiser
• Must Hold a full UK Drivers license
