HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Aerospace sectors. We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.

We are looking for a Marine Engineer to join a well established engineer business in Portland. As a Marine Engineer, you will carry out all aspects of marine works on various vessels covering engines, equipment repair, service, installation, warranty and maintenance work.

Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Engineer:

  • Repairs, Servicing, Maintenance and Commissioning of marine engines, controls, HVAC & propulsion units
  • Workshop and Field based work
  • Carry out routine service and repair work on various vessels from pleasure to commercial craft
  • Full workshop overhaul and repairs of marine engines to manufacturer’s standards
  • Carry out new machinery and equipment installations
  • Working on engines from 2hp – 12,000hp on varying engines
  • Experience with engine control systems such as Comap, Deepsea etc
