Key Responsibilities of the Electrician:
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and fault-finding duties in line with engineering specifications and site procedures.
- Work on site at HMNB Faslane, supporting naval and defence-related projects.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Install, terminate, test, and maintain electrical systems, cabling, panels, and equipment.
- Use appropriate electrical tools, test equipment, and installation methods safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work is carried out in strict accordance with health & safety, quality, and security standards.
- Collaborate with other trades, supervisors, and engineering staff to meet project schedules and deadlines.
Essential Skills & Qualifications of the Electrician:
- Security Clearance (SC Cleared) - Mandatory
- Time-served Electrician or equivalent recognised electrical qualification
- Previous experience working in marine, shipbuilding, defence, or heavy engineering environments
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation practices, and testing procedures
- Ability to work from electrical drawings and specifications with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and strong commitment to health & safety compliance
