Typically, this person will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of security systems including CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems. The role involves both planned installations and reactive callouts (1 in 5 call-outs), requiring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service. The engineer will work closely with clients to ensure all systems are installed to specification, compliant with relevant regulations, and functioning effectively.
Duties and responsibilities of the Security Installation Engineer:
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, access control, and fire alarms
- Conduct site surveys and advise clients on suitable security solutions
- Respond to service call-outs and troubleshoot faults efficiently
