The below job description will outline this position:
Typically, this person will visit sites around the UK, with an aim of repairing and overhauling Diesel engines such as CAT, Deutz, Scania, Baudouin. Within this position, you could be away for a month at a time (maximum), with the average jobs lasting 2 weeks. My client is ideally looking for someone who can also at times lead and mentor other engineers; therefore, good communication for both internal staff and clients is essential for this role. Works will be both land-based engines and marine.

Duties and responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer (Engine Overhaul):
- Liaise with the office to obtain workload / order spare parts / update on findings or delays
- Travel to site which could be anywhere across the UK
- Assess working environment and engage with customer in a polite and friendly manner
- Complete works covering repairs and engine overhauls of diesel engines land-based or on board a vessel docked/dry-docked
- Complete report writing outlining job progress and any works completed
- When works completed, engine run-ups and testing
Qualifications and requirements:
- Drivers Licence
- Passport as some international travel may be required
