We are currently recruiting for a Security Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established business with growth plans. Job Description:
The role involves carrying out maintenance and reactive calls for intruder alarm systems, CCTV, and access control systems across South Wales. Maintenance will be carried out across a variety of premises, including commercial, local authority, and domestic customers. You will diagnose system faults, plan further actions, and ensure any updates are communicated clearly to both the operations manager and customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out maintenance on intruder alarm systems, CCTV, and access control systems
- Respond to reactive calls, diagnose faults, and implement or plan remedial actions
- Complete work accurately on electronic job sheets and report additional actions as needed
- Communicate with customers professionally and effectively
- Represent the company in a presentable manner, maintaining high standards of professionalism
- Participate in a call-out rota (approx. 3 times per year) with standby and call-out pay
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Security Engineer or similar role
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-disciplined and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach to customers
- Willingness to complete BS7858 Security Screening, Enhanced DBS, and police check
