The below job description will outline this position of: Manufacturing Technician Wire Harness and Looms Typically, this person will be responsible for the production of wires, cables, harnesses, and wiring looms to support the assembly of electrical systems. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to follow technical specifications. The technician will also assist in panel wiring and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production process. HSB Technicals client is a very established and well-regarded business entity. Duties and responsibilities of the Manufacturing Technician Wire Harness and Looms: Manufacture wires, cables, harnesses, and wiring looms using both manual tools and automated machinery, ensuring compliance with build instructions, wiring schedules, and technical drawings. Ensure high-quality standards are maintained throughout the build process. Support Electrical Technicians with panel wiring of small, precise components under supervision when necessary. Execute tasks as assigned in alignment with the Production Master Production Schedule (MPS). Initiate and participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance the manufacturing process. Perform routine maintenance on wire manufacturing machinery. Assist Manufacturing Engineering in creating wiring schedules based on existing product designs. Qualifications and requirement for the Manufacturing Technician Wire Harness and Looms: Proficient in wire and cable manufacturing, with certification to IPC/WHMA-A-620 or equivalent. Skilled in the use of crimping and cable-making hand tools. Experience with a wide range of electrical connectors, such as Molex, Deutsch, and D-Type connectors. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data processing. HNC qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Proficient in soldering for both wiring and PCB manufacturing. Knowledgeable in the correct assembly of electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, with experience in stripping, crimping, and terminating cables, including umbilicals.
