We are looking for a number of experienced and motivated Earthworks Supervisor to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in civil engineering and earthworks who takes pride in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day site operations, leading site teams, and ensuring work is completed on time with the highest consideration for Health & Safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all earthworks activities on site.
  • Lead and coordinate site operatives, plant operators, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and current legislation.
  • Carry out daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
  • Ensure RAMS are followed and updated where required.
  • Record daily progress, plant usage, labour, and site activities.
  • Identify and resolve site issues quickly and effectively.
  • Promote a positive safety culture across the workforce.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience supervising large-scale earthworks or civil engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of bulk earthworks, cut and fill operations, muck shift, drainage, and site logistics.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read drawings and work to programme.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Valid SSSTS.
  • CSCS Card.
  • First Aid at Work
