HS2, Britain’s new high-speed railway is at peak construction. Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and planning for the delivery of the works, including resources, logistics, access, and construction readiness documentation.
- Manage, coordinate, and supervise the day-to-day site activities from construction through to close out and ensure the works are performed to the contract requirements.
- Manage, supervise, train and mentor the site team members to maintain high levels of operational control and support their professional development.
- Oversee the site supervision including subcontractors’ performance and make sure alignment with project objectives and milestones.
- Manage the internal and external interfaces with regards to the execution of the works, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree holder, or similar equivalent, with multi-disciplinary breadth.
- Proven experience in managing subcontractors and working with a major contractor.
- Excellent team player and team leader, reporting progress to the Project Manager / Construction Manager.
- Highly organised with good management and coordination skills.
- Strong on technical details and with good communication skills.
- Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and current legislation and standards associated with all engineering aspects.
