Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Location

Based at Fort Dunlop – this location sits on the eastern edge of Birmingham, adjacent to the M6 motorway, providing excellent transport links into the city and across the region.

Fort Dunlop serves as a key hub within IPT Area North, supporting operations that span multiple sublots and regional activities.

Its strategic position makes it an important point for coordination and access, with proximity to major infrastructure routes ensuring connectivity to both the Central Region and wider project areas.

Key Accountabilities

  • Delivery of pre & Post construction Defect Survey
  • Delivery of pre & Post construction Drainage Surveys
  • Delivery of Post construction Land and fencing condition Surveys
  • Management of survey databases, analysis and reporting
  • Lead recording and reporting Settlement Deeds on the HS2 SRM in accordance with HS2 Implementation manual and BBV project requirements.
  • Use the HS2 SRM correctly for the management of all Settlement Deed activities, the recording all contact details and correspondence, and the monitoring of compliance with all time limits and/or constraints for actions and responses.
  • Manage signature and timely return of the deeds from the eligible property owners.
  • Management of data gathering collation and storage of information with GDPR compliance.
  • An enthusiastic approach
  • Ability to learn and be adaptive with project progression
  • Proficient to an intermediate level in the application of working practices and approved IT systems
  • Previous experience in the surveys, ground works, structures, and heavy civil works.
  • Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately.
  • Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility.
  • Ability to visit survey location to conduct, monitor and verify surveys, produce survey reports where required.
  • Ability to plan and deliver to project deadlines.
  • Organisational and Analytical Skills.
  • Ability to develop processes and follow procedures
