HS2, Britain’s new high-speed railway is at peak construction. Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire. Whether onsite or office based all colleagues have a key part to play in delivering this critical transport infrastructure project.
Role Responsibilities
- Working with the sublot and enabling functions environmental teams to ensure all requirements are delivered in a timely manner.
- Assisting in managing the flow of all the relevant environmental information across various sites.
- Reviewing relevant documentation and records to ensure compliance.
- Carrying out site inspections and monthly reporting to document environmental compliance and performance.
- Ensuring consistency across environmental deliverables, utilising relevant technical and contract guidance and the support of the discipline leads.
- Providing advice and support for the environmental teams and delivery teams so that all construction activities are delivered compliant.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability and drive to see tasks through to completion.
- Keen interest in Environmental aspects of construction.
