Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

- Key Accountabilities
- Lead the construction and delivery of MEP packages from installation through to commissioning and handover.
- Manage MEP subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSQE requirements.
- Coordinate interfaces between MEP, civil, structural, architectural, and rail systems teams.
- Monitor progress against programme milestones and implement recovery plans where necessary.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Support commercial teams with forecasting, change control, compensation events, and NEC contract management.
- Ensure all works are delivered safely and in compliance with statutory requirements and company procedures.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, designers, and supply chain partners
- Proven experience delivering MEP packages on major infrastructure, rail, civil engineering, or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health systems. Demonstrable experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent planning, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with NEC contracts and project controls processes.
- Relevant engineering or construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent).
