Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire. Current Opportunity: Audit & Integrated Management Systems Coordinator – Quality and Assurance
Location: Based at Fort Dunlop – this location sits on the eastern edge of Birmingham, adjacent to the M6 motorway, providing excellent transport links into the city and across the region. Fort Dunlop serves as a key hub within IPT Area North, supporting operations that span multiple sublots and regional activities. Its strategic position makes it an important point for coordination and access, with proximity to major infrastructure routes ensuring connectivity to both the Central Region and wider project areas.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining the integrated audit programme and submission for Management/Client acceptance at agreed timescales.
- Utilise systems and processes for the administration and control of audit information, including design and construction related documentation and records.
- Attend audit team meetings, take minutes, distribute minutes to attendees and follow up actions through to closure.
- Organise audit planning meetings and corrective action workshops.
- Coordinate the audit non-conformity process assisting with documenting lessons learned.
- Produce performance reports relating to the delivery of Quality, Environment, and Health and Safety audit programme as management information.
- Report against audit performance KPI and report causes of failure to the Integrated Management System (IMS) and Audit Manager.
- Be the focal point for the clients Technical Assurance Review process, distributing question sets to stakeholders, collating responses and uploading required evidence to the client’s portals for review.
- Organising Technical Assurance Review meetings, coordinating with all stakeholders to facilitate these meetings.
- Provide support across the project to facilitate the creation and approval of process maps to support the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Working with process owners to map their processes, in line with Company standards, gain approval for publishing and hosting the process maps on the IPTAN Way, BBVs IMS platform.
- Support with the maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS) via the IPTAN Way, ensuring all information is current and up to date.
- Support other team members in the Quality function.
- Contribute to continued professional development through performance review and identification of appropriate training/coaching.
- Demonstrate the BBV behaviours.
- Confident in working with Senior Management and able to challenge existing ways of working to support business improvement.
- Build strong relationships with teams across the project.
- Presentation skills and experience.
- Competent user of modern office computer systems e.g. Microsoft Office.
