Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire. Job Description
To assist with procurement activities. To support Procurement Managers and Senior Buyers in the procurement of works which deliver customer priorities and ensure value is maximised.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the procurement teams with tendering, market analysis, supplier selection, risk and opportunity assessments, forecasting requirements
- Carrying out supplier evaluations and commercial checks for suppliers and past performance
- Facilitate an efficient and compliant process for all material and plant procurement
- Support the development of procurement plans and packaging strategies
- Assist in the development of efficient value-added reports
- Focus on exceeding minimum service expectations by delivering an agile, value adding service with a deep understanding of customer requirements, technical competence, functional knowledge and process efficiency

- Excellent analytical skills
- A measured approach to decision making and the ability to ensure best value procurement
- Enthusiasm and results focus, together with an ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
