Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support
- Assist with the review of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Support MEP Engineers in coordinating mechanical, electrical, and public health services.
- Participate in design coordination meetings and project reviews.
- Assist with site inspections and progress monitoring.
- Support commissioning and testing activities.
- Project Delivery
- Help monitor project milestones and programme activities.
- Assist in tracking package progress and reporting on site activities.
- Support project teams with document control and engineering records.
- Contribute to quality inspections and snagging activities.
- Assist in managing subcontractor information and technical submissions.
- Health, Safety & Quality
- Promote a positive health and safety culture.
- Follow company safety procedures and site rules at all times.
- Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Support quality assurance processes and inspections.
- Learning & Development
- Complete the requirements of the apprenticeship programme.
- Attend college, university, or training provider sessions as required.
- Develop knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, and industry standards.
- Build competence in engineering software and digital construction tools.
- Work towards professional engineering qualifications and accreditations.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop effective working relationships with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
- Attend project meetings and workshops.
- Communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong interest in Mechanical, Electrical, and Building Services Engineering.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
