Salary London: Base salary: £66,553pa to c.£83,191pa depending on skills and experience. In addition, we offer a flexible benefits fund of 20% which is paid on top of the base salary and is fully pensionable, as well as a range of competitive benefits.

As a Lead Digital Engineering Manager at HS2, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating and managing the HS2 Information Managers to assure, on a risk basis, the quality of the digital information provided by Main Works Civils Contracts, Rail Systems and Integrated Project Teams to manage and advise upon the incoming digital information provided by our supply chain.
About the role:
- To lead, coordinate and manage the information managers across the IPTs and HS2 project (MWCC, Rail Systems);
- Assuring Contractors BIM;
- Assure the digital information quality of the delivery plans (MIDP / MPDT / IDP);
- Assure BIM Support to Contractors delivery of and where necessary escalation of issues, for BIM improvement plans;
- Performance monitoring and reporting on delivery of HS2 BIM;
- Leadership of a single point of contact within contract responsibility for all BIM;
- Responsible for raising awareness, education and training on BIM;
- Deliver collaborative work with the central Digital Engineering / Digital Information Management Team to provide data centric solutions to HS2 challenges, streamline processes and support assurance;
- Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures in EDI.
About You:
- Team leadership skills;
- Ability to use BIM/Information Management/digital data management tools or equivalent;
- Ability to provide responses to technical questions, requests for information; and communicate technical information to non-technical staff;
- Ability to deliver training sessions for HS2 in respect of BIM, Digital Engineering and Information Management;
- Ability to work in collaboration with supply chain partners, stakeholders, and colleagues to achieve quality outcomes, ensure value for money, manage risk and ensure all voices are heard;
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, understanding different perspectives and adapting communication style as required;
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and respond to queries in a timely manner;
- Ability to apply project management and governance principles to delivery, especially in managing dependencies between deliverables from different Suppliers.
Knowledge:
- UK BIM Level 2 standards, including BS and PAS1192 series or equivalent plus awareness of ISO 19650;
- BIM Standards, including BS and PAS1192 series, plus knowledge of ISO 19650;
- A working knowledge of BIM Level 2 for legacy contract management;
- Knowledge of rail systems e.g. track, signalling, power;
- Experience of using BIM, GIS or Asset data to undertake analysis;
- Experience of contributing to change management process, including advising on financial and time impact of change related to BIM, digital engineering, information management or digital data standards and processes.
