As an Analyst at HS2 you will provide analytical support to the development and delivery of HS2 and wider rail schemes, contributing to evidence‑based decision‑making across the programme. The Analyst applies established analytical approaches to assess costs, benefits, impacts, supporting value for money assessment and business case development.
About the Role
- Deliver defined analytical work packages to support appraisal and business case development, ensuring outputs meet agreed requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
- Gather, validate, and analyse data from multiple sources to support the assessment of costs, benefits, and risks.
- Develop and maintain analytical tools and models in line with established methodologies, ensuring outputs are transparent, well‑documented and fit for purpose.
- Support the development and improvement of analytical approaches by incorporating new data and assumptions where appropriate.
- Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and ensure outputs meet decision‑making needs.
- Prepare clear and concise written outputs and presentations, translating analysis into accessible insights for non‑technical audiences.
- Identify and communicate limitations, risks, and uncertainties in analysis, contributing to quality assurance processes.
