Job Purpose
The Logistics Team is responsible for enabling the safe, cost‑effective, sustainable, and compliant delivery of HS2 through industry‑leading logistics guidance, integrated planning, and assurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist advice and expertise at all stages of the construction process to the NEC 3 Project Manager.
- Assess feasibility of work and maintain contractor compliance through Construction Logistics Strategy, Plans, and the Logistic Environment Safety Sustainability Management Plan.
- Coordinate logistics requirements with HS2 teams and contractors based on material and plant demands.
- Collaborate with mass haul and earthworks teams on vehicle movement and strategy amendments.
- Work with other ALMs and HS2 stakeholders to ensure interface items are incorporated into construction logistics plans.
- Assist Senior Logistics Manager in reviewing and delivering route‑wide requirements, coordinated strategy, and programme.
- Monitor and report on contractor logistics, safety, and compliance with EMRs, undertakings and assurances.
- Plan and integrate MWSC, Rail Systems and Operations contracts, providing guidance for the Rail Systems Alliance.
- Lead and support collaboration and logistics forums.
- Maintain HS2’s compound and gate naming conventions within the asset management system.
