Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance on the OCS system to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide assurance that the OCS contractor design and construction deliverables meet project requirements.
- Work to resolve issues where appropriate.
- Engage stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach for development of engineering solutions.
- Provide technical assurance for the Overhead contact system discipline by ensuring correct application of requirements and specifications already contracted.
- Work closely with the wider engineering, technical and commercial disciplines.
- Contribute to the management of technical risk for Overhead contact system engineering works.
- Establish reports and technical documents.
- Review and provide OCS layout drawings.
- Attend any OCS related discipline meetings.
Qualifications:
- Specialist technical support and leadership on discipline‑specific scientific, technical, and engineering principles.
- Communicate discipline‑specific technical ideas effectively.
- Apply safety, environmental, and standard principles.
- Apply information management, modelling and data security principles.
- Understand UK construction regulations, including CDM.
- Implement the Common Safety Method (CSM) for risk evaluation and assessment.
- Have commercial awareness including understanding cost, schedule, and integrated solutions.
- Experience managing multi‑disciplinary engineering and safety standards on large complex infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing competing project demands with cost and schedule implications.
- Knowledge confined to own discipline.
