Job Description
Base salary
£23,000pa to £27,059pa depending on skills and experience, plus a flexible benefits fund of 10% on top of base salary, fully pensionable.
- Review, process, and report any building maintenance faults to the contracted FM Service Provider or Landlord to keep offices fully operational.
- Answer general facilities queries and service requests from staff via email, phone, and face‑to‑face, recommending alternative solutions when possible.
- Allocate facilities (e. g., lockers) and maintain a tracking log to ensure all allocated items are accounted for.
- Create and manage security passes for all HS2 offices, maintaining an accurate log/database.
- Visit other HS2 sites on a rota basis, taking on additional management responsibilities when the role is the sole facilities contact on site.
- Maintain visual standards of all meeting rooms and communal office areas in line with agreed standards.
- Track and order stationery, tea, and coffee supplies to keep refreshments available.
- Install and remove posters and signage as directed to ensure information is up to date.
- Perform light labouring duties to ensure site‑specific set‑ups are appropriate, timely, and meet safety and quality standards.
- Conduct visual checks of defibrillators and carry out regular building inspections, focusing on safety such as clear fire exits and corridors.
- Support recruitment and management of key voluntary roles such as First Aiders and Fire Wardens to ensure compliance with legislation and regulation.
- Coordinate all DSE Assessments for new employees.
- Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in all work and support organisational initiatives, policies and procedures.
Skills
- Attention to detail, highly organised and efficient in task management.

- Knowledge
- MS Office suite (incl. Teams)
- MS Excel – working with large data sets
- Previous experience of estates / facilities management
Experience
- Previous experience in a customer‑facing and supporting role.
- Experience of responding effectively to reactive work requests.
- Ability to work as part of a virtual team in a cohesive and communicative manner.
