Salary
Base salary £41,092 to c £48,344 pa, plus a flexible benefits fund of 15 % on top of the base salary (fully pensionable) and other competitive benefits.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver the possessions programme in partnership with Construction Delivery Teams and the supply chain.
- Collaborate with the Acquisitions Case Owner, ensuring plans are sympathetic to land‑owner circumstances and meet programme targets.
- Own and manage the hand‑back programme, coordinating with Construction Delivery, Project Controls, and the Area/Phase L&P team, and reporting to the Area/Phase PM.
- Process utility land rights on behalf of the Secretary of State to enable hand‑back and disposal.
- Engage in possession and enforcement of land and property using CPO (Compulsory Purchase).
- Directly manage highly sensitive or vulnerable possessions, ensuring a positive experience for landowners.
- Set clear guidance and hold the supply chain to high standards for possessions, hand‑back and disposal.
- Apply best‑practice project management tools, engaging stakeholders and delivering on time, quality and budget.
- Produce high‑quality possession, hand‑back and disposal documentation and rights/ licences for landowners.
- Plan and execute land or property hand‑backs in line with policy.
- Support the implementation of the disposal policy and deliver disposal of specific sites.
- Ensure compliance with Data and Information Management responsibilities (e. g., Share Point).
- Report to the Programme Manager on progress, issues and risks, and participate in programme review meetings using reporting templates.
- Manage risks and develop contingency plans for challenging possessions.
- Drive the supply chain to deliver on time, cost and quality while adopting HS2 Values in interactions with landowners.
- Escalate serious concerns about upcoming possessions to the Programme Manager and Acquisitions Manager.
- Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) across all work.
- Key Qualifications
Skills.
Project and Programme Management, data compilation and analysis, reporting to senior stakeholders, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Project, ability to learn and use database software, stakeholder relationship building and influencing.
Knowledge.
Experience managing projects or programmes and understanding of supply chain contract obligations and requirements.
Experience.
Working in a matrix organisational environment with frequently changing priorities, property or project management experience, and experience managing, monitoring and improving supply chain performance.
