Base salary: £41,092 pa to c.£48,344 pa depending on skills and experience. In addition, we offer a flexible benefits fund of 15% which is paid on top of the base salary and is fully pensionable, along with a range of competitive benefits (see Benefits section on the website).
Job description
The Data and Reporting Manager will source, coordinate and present key property performance data to enable reporting to the DfT, stakeholder enquiries, and the review of KPIs and SLAs.
About the role
- Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all work, supporting organisational initiatives and compliance with EDI policies.
- Own and manage the reporting programme, liaising with the property management team, Project Controls and suppliers.
- Identify and support the implementation of process improvements and efficiencies to ensure operational objectives are achieved and best value for public money.
- Plan and deliver reporting in conjunction with the supply chain, focusing on key performance metrics such as arrears, rent reviews, void/vacancies, income growth, maintenance, repair and investment spend.
- Work with the Property Management Team, considering tenants’ circumstances and ensuring plans are sympathetic to any vulnerable requirements while driving programme delivery.
- Produce presentation artefacts required to deliver accountabilities, including RACI, RAID logs, programme and project plans, and communication and stakeholder engagement plans.
- Produce monthly reporting for the Land and Property Programme Board, and DfT monthly and quarterly meetings.
- Set clear guidance and high standards for the supply chain, holding them accountable for data delivery and property management.
- Apply best‑practice project management tools and approaches, ensuring stakeholders are engaged and addressed appropriately, plans are workable, and deliverables meet quality, time and budget.
- Support the implementation of property disposal reporting.
- Ensure compliance with data and information management responsibilities (e.g., SharePoint folders).
- Report to the Delivery Manager – Property Management on progress, issues & risks, and participate in programme review meetings using weekly and monthly reporting templates.
- Drive the supply chain to deliver on time, cost and quality while ensuring adherence to HS2 values in interactions with landowners.
Skills
- Project and Programme Management skills.
- Ability to compile and analyse data, and present and produce reports, papers and presentations to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Project and ability to learn and use a variety of database software.
- Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and influence performance and outcomes.
Knowledge
- Experience in managing projects or programmes.
- Understanding of supply‑chain contract obligations and requirements.
Type of Experience
- Experience working in a matrix organisational environment with frequently changing priorities, requiring flexibility and a pragmatic delivery focus.
- Property or project management experience.
- Experience managing, monitoring and driving performance improvements with the supply chain.
