Overview
The Sixth Form at Uxbridge College is responsible for the delivery of A Level, AS, GCSE and BTEC Science courses and is based at the Uxbridge site. We have a track record of achieving strong results which places the Sixth Form in the top 10% of colleges nationally for A level progress.
Responsibilities
- Teach A level, BTEC and GCSE Physics as part of the Physics curriculum.
- Contribute to the planning, delivery and assessment of physics teaching to 16–19 learners.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Physics or a closely related subject (e.g., Engineering).
- Teaching experience in Physics including delivery of A level, with a track record of excellent teaching and learning.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and inspire young people aged 16–19.
Professional Development
If you do not already possess a teaching qualification, the College will support you to obtain the Level 5 teaching qualification.
