HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges) is a successful merged college group, based across 5 vibrant campuses. We offer high quality courses, apprenticeships and programmes for young people, enabling them to Be Extraordinary . We launched our new unified People and Organisational Development team in January 2025, which has enabled us to renew and continue our journey to be an Employer of Choice. We’re seeking a proactive, empathetic, and strategically minded People Partner to help shape a thriving, inclusive culture across HRUC. This is a pivotal role for someone who’s passionate about enabling organisational change, championing equity, and designing people-centred processes that empower staff and students alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and staff, championing a positive and inclusive people experience Lead strategic People initiatives that support HRUC’s goals—such as talent development, staff engagement, and diversity and inclusion Manage complex employee relations cases with professionalism and care, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with HRUC policies Develop and implement strategic workforce plans that anticipate future needs and support long-term growth Collaborate on training and development strategies that build capability and confidence across teams Play a key role in organisational change, offering expertise in restructuring, culture transformation, and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an inspiring and innovative individual who brings:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent relevant experience Proven success managing complex ER cases and a broad range of employee relations issues Strong knowledge of HR practices including performance, absence, and grievance management Strategic and operational agility—able to translate vision into action Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships quickly A proactive mindset, with sound judgement and a solutions-focused approach
