Uniformed Services at Uxbridge College is a highly successful area of provision, providing excellent training opportunities for young people seeking a career in the Uniformed Public Services or progression into HE. Our students are highly motivated and we create a disciplined learning environment that prepares them for a career in the Police, Armed Services, Fire Brigade, Ambulance and Security Services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional to join us on a part time basis and teach on a range of programmes in Uniformed Services, including NCFE Levels 1 – 5 and Higher National Diploma (HE). The role will involve attending outdoor and residential activities and delivering/supporting some fitness training. You will also need to be able to drive a minibus or be prepared to undertake relevant training.

You will need to be qualified to a minimum of Level 3, and have work experience in the Police, other emergency services or the Armed Services. Some teaching/training experience is desirable, but more important is the ability to communicate effectively and be able to engage young people aged 16-19. If you are not a trained teacher, the College will fully fund and support you to obtain this qualification.
