The WIS Group is an award-winning group of financial services firms based in the UK. WIS seeks to recruit a Paraplanner to be employed in the Insurance Advisory arm of the company. The company specializes in providing tax-efficient insurance to businesses and individuals in the UK and offers whole-of-market advice, with access to a spectrum of term assurance products.
This is a full-time on-site role for a Paraplanner located in Kohuwala, Sri Lanka. As a Paraplanner, you would be required to provide recommendations to Financial Advisors based in the UK as well as maintain advice documentation. You will also be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, handling insurance department-related tasks, and communicating effectively with clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Need Analysis: Liaise with the Insurance Advisor and Senior Paraplanner in identifying the client’s Insurance Needs
- Sourcing: Prepare quotations and help advisors present appropriate solutions to clients
- Insurance Providers: Liaise with Insurance Providers, the Insurance Advisor, and Clients in resolving pre and post-sale underwriting requirements of Insurance Providers
- Report Writing: Writing reports that summarize the advice and recommendations made.
- Compliance: Making sure the files meet the compliance requirements
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are a must.
- Previous work experience is a must; however, experience in Financial Services or Paraplanning will be an advantage.
- Graduate/Undergraduate in Business/Finance/Accounting/Economics or a member working towards ACCA, CIMA, CISI, or CII
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Work from our Office - Bernard’s Business Park, Dutugemunu Street, Kohuwala.
- Work UK hours (2:00 pm to 10:00 pm in the winter and 1:30 pm to 9:30 pm in the summer)
This is not a sales position and Training and mentoring will be provided by staff in Sri Lanka and the UK.
