HRLife are working with a business going through positive change to find them a pro-active HR Manager with a background in Change and OD for an initial 12 month FTC. You'll be available to start immediately, ideally come from a larger business and have experience of working with specialist Centres of Excellence such as L&D, Resourcing and Shared Services to provide insight, challenge and leadership to design and deliver effective organisational change that enables the business to achieve its strategic goals.

You’ll be at the heart of change and transformation so having previous experience of driving initiatives that support engagement, performance and operational excellence is essential as well as a generalist HR background. Using HR and business data, you’ll generate meaningful insight to inform decisions and ensure change is evidence‑led and sustainable.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of HR generalists, overseeing their day to day responsibilities and ensuring they're performing and delivering value add HR to the business.
  • Overseeing all OD initiatives from planning to delivery, ensuring governance, risk management and alignment with financial budgets and workforce plans.
  • Managing all workforce planning activities ensuring they're robust and aligned to business plans.
  • Supporting with a new HRIS implementation of Success factors; prior knowledge of the system would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • Business Partnering a small client group, building great relationships and supporting with day to day HR activities.
  • Experience of working in a unionised business would be advantageous.

Ideally you'll bring strong leadership and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. You’ll be confident using HR and business data to generate insight, shape decisions, and deliver sustainable change so good excel skills are key. You’ll be a positive person, solutions‑focused and comfortable operating in complex, fast‑changing environments, with a sound understanding of employee relations and employment law. Essential you have previous experience of leading and developing HR teams, have a strong background in organisational design, workforce planning and change management.

Salary 65-75k plus car allowance and bonus. Hybrid working.
