HRLife are looking for an HR Operations Manager for an initial 7 month FTC period to cover a period of leave. Managing a team of operational HR experts, this is a great opportunity for someone to work closely with the business to drive operational excellence, get involved in projects, manage a high performing team and support the business operationally as it grows.
You will be responsible for developing global standards, frameworks, and processes across all HR operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance. You'll work closely with various HR people across the globe to ensure they follow governance frameworks and support them with any escalated issues around the employee lifecycle. Additionally, you will oversee the operational aspects as they grow and set up in new countries and support the global HRIS implementation.
Based in Oxford 3 days a week and remote 2 days, this is a great role for someone to work in a successful, busy role spinning multiple plates!
You will be involved with:
- Leading the delivery of all day-to-day HR operations, ensuring seamless execution across onboarding, payroll input, employment changes, documentation, and offboarding.
- Line managing the EMEA HR Ops team, supporting their development, workload management, and operational excellence.
- Ensuring service delivery aligns with business needs, compliance requirements, and employee experience expectations.
- Setting and maintaining governance frameworks, standard operating procedures, and quality benchmarks globally.
- Defining global processes and templates for onboarding, documentation, employee changes, policy management etc.
- Collaborating with regional HR teams to embed these standards, ensuring consistent execution while accommodating local compliance needs.
- Monitoring adherence to global governance, escalating and resolving deviations where required.
- Facilitating knowledge sharing and best practice alignment globally.
- Leading cross-regional reviews to drive continuous improvement and operational consistency.
- Overseeing the end-to-end setup of new operations for all people related activity.
- Acting as a key contributor to the HRIS implementation project, providing operational input, testing processes, and helping to define user requirements.
- Supporting change management and training efforts, ensuring successful system adoption across teams.
- Post-launch, working with the system admin team to support enhancements and ensure alignment with global processes.
- Owning and managing all global reporting, including headcount, attrition, organisational structure, workforce demographics, and other key people metrics.
- Ensuring data accuracy and completeness in all people systems, enabling robust analytics and reporting.
- Supporting the global mobility process.
