The Restaurant Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages for guests seated at the bar and in the restaurant. This role supports both bar and table service, ensures accurate and timely drink preparation, maintains cleanliness, and provides exceptional hospitality in a fast‑paced dining environment.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bartending certification preferred (where applicable).
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in a restaurant or high‑volume bar.
- Experience working with servers and supporting table service preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage preparation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently during peak dining hours.
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and applicable state laws.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash‑handling procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare beverages for bar guests and restaurant server drink orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Greet guests, take drink orders, make recommendations, and provide welcoming service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout the shift.
- Support servers by preparing beverages and coordinating drink delivery during meal service.
- Process guest payments, manage tabs, and handle cash accurately.
- Verify guest ID and ensure responsible alcohol service at all times.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies.
- Clean and sanitize bar areas, glassware, equipment, and tools.
- Assist with bar opening and closing procedures.
- Address guest concerns professionally and alert management when needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
