The role responsibilities include
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, including receipting, dispatch, inventory control and material movements.
- Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stocktakes, shelf-life control and ERP system management (Quantum).
- Safely handle aircraft components, dangerous goods and warehouse equipment, including forklifts and automated storage systems.
- Coach and support Storeperson team members while promoting a strong safety and continuous improvement culture.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, raise non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with the Logistics Supervisor to improve warehouse processes, efficiency and operational performance.
Skills And Experiences
Required skills, experience and qualifications
- Experience in a senior warehouse or stores role within aerospace, defence, manufacturing or a highly regulated industry.
- Strong inventory management experience using an ERP system such as Quantum, SAP, Pronto or similar.
- Current Forklift Licence.
- Certificate III in Warehousing Operations and Logistics (or equivalent) is highly regarded.
- Sound understanding of dangerous goods handling, inventory control and warehouse best practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and support others.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering exceptional customer service.
