Key responsibilities
- Programming, setting and operating CNC machines
- Machine alignments
- CNC milling (with CNC turning and CNC grinding experience also a bonus)
- Working with components and free-issue material of varying qualities
- Using hand tools and standard measuring equipment to tight tolerances
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings/processes
- Working independently with minimal supervision; strong team contribution
- Complying with relevant H&S requirements
- Maintaining ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards throughout the process
- Apprentice trained or time-served engineer (City & Guilds or BTEC level)
- Relevant experience in precision subcontract machining/engineering
- Proactive problem-solver; hard-working and extremely reliable
- Flexibility with working hours when required to meet customer deadlines
