A long-established and internationally respected leader in the design and manufacture of specialised automation machinery for the glass processing industry is seeking a UK-based Field Service Engineer to support operations across the UK and Ireland.
The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and maintaining industrial automation equipment and involves regular travel to customer sites throughout the UK, with occasional international travel to support operations at other global branches.
This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining close collaboration with customers and internal teams.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced time served service engineer with the below attributes:
- HNC/HND in an engineering discipline
- Multi skilled in electrical and mechanical machine and pneumatic, hydraulics repairs
- Strong fault-finding ability
- Knowledge of PLC/servo-controlled systems
- Have a "can do" attitude
- Willingness to work away from home and occasional overseas trips to assist their branches worldwide
- Ability to read and understand wiring and pneumatic, hydraulic diagrams
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and occasional overseas client visits
- Valid UK Passport
