Job Type: Permanent/Full time - Hybrid/flexible working available after probationary period (six months)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours a week, core hours between 10am-12pm, 2pm-4pm

We are really excited to be supporting a wonderful event management company in their search for an Event Manager to join their team. You will be joining a vibrant team that all share the same values and passion for offering outstanding service to their clients.

Job Purpose: As an Event Manager you will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing a wide range of events from conferences, annual kick-off, dinners, networking events and cultural experiences.

Duties include:

  • Managing projects from start to finish through the full event life cycle
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, liaising on every aspect of the event
  • Financial and budgeting responsibility, often in multiple currencies
  • Creating the event concept in line with the client’s objectives
  • Negotiations with the hotels, venues, and other suppliers
  • Managing and supporting internal and external team members collaborating on the project
  • Delivering events on site
  • Reporting and analytics

What we're looking for:

  • At least 3 years' experience in the events industry, working in a similar role
  • Able to manage complex events in-person, virtually or as a hybrid
  • Strong project management skills
  • Flexibility - You will need to be flexible to suit the needs of the business and their clients and this role will involve international travel so you must be prepared to stay away from home as and when required.
  • A real problem solver with a proactive approach to their work
  • Fluency in Spanish or French would be amazing but it is not a must
  • Ideally, you will be located within a one-hour commute of Rye, East Sussex.
