We are looking for an HR Generalist to work alongside our team of experienced HR Consultants. This is an office-based role in Goring-on-Thames. Our modern and comfortable offices are centrally located with excellent transport links by both train and car, with plenty of free parking available on site.

As an HR consultancy, we are ‘industry agnostic’, providing outsourced HR to our varied clients across the UK. We love variety and move seamlessly from one client to another, helping them to recruit and retain their people. Our services cover the full employee lifecycle. We have added management training to our offering. It would therefore be preferable if you have an interest in Management training. We are keen to find someone comfortable working at a pace in an agile environment. No two days are the same. If you are fed up with corporate life, dealing with the same management team and the same issues, and want a rewarding, diverse role that allows you to utilise your full HR skill set, then give us a call!

About the role: This is a generalist role that combines recruitment and employee relations. You’ll be working closely with senior business leaders, acting as an account manager for a select group of our clients, and forging effective, long-lasting relationships that will support the continued growth of the business. The ideal candidate will also be able to plan and deliver engaging training that is tailored to our clients’ goals and needs.

Main job functions:

  • Learning and Development: Promoting our learning and development offering to clients, developing bespoke training for both teams and individuals aligned with our clients’ goals and needs. Management training and coaching to help assist with issues as and when they arise. Developing and delivering training in person, via Teams/Zoom, or via our cloud-based training portals.
  • Recruitment: Use our Applicant Tracking System to attract and shortlist candidates for our clients. Headhunting activities as and when required. Interviewing candidates.
  • Human Resources: Handling a portfolio of Employee Relations cases with varying complexity across all aspects of performance, absence, sickness, disciplinary, dismissal, grievances, and investigations. Resolving complex employer relations case work and supporting managers with day-to-day issues, resolving situations before they escalate by offering pragmatic solutions and relevant supporting paperwork. Developing and issuing contracts, together with bespoke policies for clients as and when required. Advising on specific clauses as and when required to do so, training agreements, and apprentice agreements. Identifying opportunities to introduce our HRIS, recruitment, software provisions, online training, and Employee engagement to new and existing clients.
  • Marketing: Writing newsletters, technical blogs, and social media posts ensuring HRCentral is represented appropriately as an HR expert on forums and LinkedIn. Attending seminars, networking events, and client offices as required as an appropriately qualified and knowledgeable learning and development/HR expert representing HRCentral Limited.

About you: Our successful candidate will be an experienced HR Generalist, who has operated at a strategic HR Business Partner level in a complex and fast-paced organisation, and preferably an SME environment. You’ll be an excellent communicator, with demonstrable customer service skills and an ability to land, develop, and maintain long-standing relationships. Working in a flexible, agile way to respond to our client's needs, often at short notice, you will be good at analysing situations and prioritising accordingly. Expert in the use of Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, you will need to be tech-savvy. Experienced with using applicant tracking systems and other tech platforms and software. You’ll be a strong team player, comfortable ‘rolling up your sleeves’, as well as working individually to get tasks completed. You’ll be both professional and easy-going, a "big picture" thinker; results-oriented with a can-do attitude. Close attention to detail is a must, alongside tenacity and accountability. You’ll be decisive and proactive. You may have worked as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, HR Consultant, In-house HR Advisor, HR Executive or HR Generalist, or be bored of the same HR situations that often recur in a big corporate environment.

No Agents please.
