Job Description
Defined Contribution Pension Consultant – Edinburgh /Hybrid
Do you have experience working with defined contribution pensions? Would you like to work in a technical role while still having exposure on a daily basis? Would you like to work for a globally recognised, market-leading organisation?
A leading financial services organisation are looking to add an experienced head to their existing pensions team. This role will suit an existing pensions consultant or an experienced pension administrator who is looking to step up into a more senior role with increased responsibility.
What will the day-to-day look like?
- Supporting consultants in daily account management for client portfolio
- Anticipating and responding to client needs with prompt, flexible service
- Maintaining and developing strong relationships with corporate clients
- Assisting in achieving revenue targets through client retention and growth
- Preparing communications for workplace pension schemes and benefits
- Ensuring client compliance with Automatic Enrolment duties
- Supporting salary exchange guidance and implementation
- Conducting pension market reviews and assist in implementing pension schemes
- Providing pension governance duties, including meeting arrangements and follow-ups
- Managing action points from meetings
- Assisting with employee 1:1s and onsite presentations
- Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of employee benefits
- Developing internal and third-party relationships for efficient service delivery
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations for clients
What experience is needed?
- Strong technical knowledge of Corporate DC pensions
- knowledge of Group Risk and Healthcare would be beneficial
- The ability to communicate, question, listen, write reports, and present on these reports
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and internal systems
- Understand regulatory requirements for 'advised' and 'non-advised' sales
- Experience in a similar role in Financial Services or administration
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- High accuracy and attention to detail in documentation
