An established and well-invested manufacturing business within the FMCG / spirits sector is currently looking to appoint an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their site engineering team. The Role
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime across a busy production environment. You’ll be working closely with mechanical engineers, production teams, and management to support efficient and safe operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Electrical fault-finding and breakdown response on production and packaging equipment
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime
- Working with PLC-controlled machinery, motors, drives, sensors, and control panels
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards
- Assisting with installations, upgrades, and commissioning where required
The Ideal Candidate
- Time-served Electrical Engineer (or equivalent apprenticeship)
- Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or similar)
- Experience within FMCG, food & drink, spirits, or high-volume manufacturing
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills (PLC fault-finding experience desirable)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proactive, team-focused, and reliable
