We are seeking an experienced and proactive Hygiene Manager to join a leading food manufacturing business in Scotland. This is a key leadership position responsible for maintaining exceptional hygiene, safety and compliance standards across a large-scale production operation. This opportunity would suit an established Hygiene Manager or an ambitious Hygiene Supervisor or Team Leader looking to take the next step into a senior leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all site hygiene activities, ensuring cleaning standards consistently meet internal and external requirements.
  • Manage, coach and develop a large hygiene team, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Carry out regular inspections and audits to maintain high levels of compliance and operational excellence.
  • Work closely with operational teams to resolve issues and minimise risks to production and food safety.
  • Review performance data, identify trends and implement improvements where required.
  • Ensure all hygiene procedures are completed in line with company policies, food safety requirements and industry best practice.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of food safety principles, hygiene standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Previous experience leading and developing teams within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A proactive approach with a strong focus on maintaining standards and driving improvements.
