We are recruiting an EHS Advisor for a leading manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company committed to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance. You will be responsible for Health and Safety legal compliance at the West Dumbartonshire manufacturing site, while driving continual improvement and supporting local and corporate EHS initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Hiring Manager in delivering EHS strategy and compliance
- Ensure compliance with EHS legislation, company policies and ISO standards (45001, 9001, 14001)
- Conduct risk assessments, audits and incident investigations
- Develop and deliver EHS action plans and continual improvement programmes
- Lead environmental initiatives including Zero Waste to Landfill and Net Zero
- Manage Industrial Hygiene monitoring programmes
- Implement and maintain safety systems (SSOW, Permit to Work, Contractor Control)
- Support EHS training, communication and behavioural safety initiatives
- Maintain audit compliance with zero major non-conformances
- Provide EHS technical support and maintain budget control
- NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
- Manufacturing experience (essential)
- Strong communication, IT and team-working skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Ability to coach and influence others
- Desirable AIEMA qualification
- EHS training delivery experience
