Manufacturing Engineer I Glasgow I Competitive Salary
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment and play a key role in improving processes, productivity, quality and efficiency.
This is a hands-on role working closely with production, engineering and quality teams to identify problems, implement improvements and help ensure manufacturing processes operate safely, efficiently and consistently.
Key Responsibilities
Improve manufacturing processes, productivity and efficiency.
Identify and resolve production issues and process bottlenecks.
Analyse production data, downtime, waste and quality performance.
Lead continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing projects.
Investigate root causes of quality and process issues.
Support the introduction of new equipment, processes and products.
Develop and maintain manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance.
Identify opportunities to reduce waste, cost and energy usage.
Support health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
About You
You will ideally have a qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline, together with experience in a manufacturing environment.
We are looking for someone who is:
Practical and hands-on.
Analytical and confident working with data.
Experienced in problem solving and continuous improvement.
A strong communicator who works well with production teams.
Proactive and comfortable taking ownership of projects.
Interested in improving processes, quality and efficiency.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, root-cause analysis or process improvement would be advantageous.
