The HR Wallingford Group owns and operates the Howbery Business Park, a 70 acre site set in mature, landscaped grounds near to the river Thames. The business science park is located between Oxford and Reading and has excellent links to the M4, M40 and London.

We are seeking an experienced Catering Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café and hospitality services. This role involves managing a team of six (including the chef), ensuring smooth delivery of café services and events, and maintaining high standards of compliance, customer service, and food quality.

As Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the full scope of café and hospitality operations. You will lead and motivate a skilled team, ensuring operational efficiency and financial compliance. In addition, you will oversee daily café service, maintaining high standards of customer experience while providing hands-on support and guidance to the front-of-house team.

The Catering Manager will ensure adherence to company standards and make sure Food Safety, Hygiene and H&S are all aligned with expectations at a high level. They will appropriately control stock levels, food standards and labour, along with all controllable costs to maximise profitability.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong numeracy and literacy skills.
