Learning & Development Manager at City Law Firm
HR Support is delighted to be working with a well-respected international law firm to find them an L&D Manager to join their growing team. The firm operate a hybrid working policy, 3 days in the office, in stunning offices in the heart of the City.
This is senior and strategic role, supporting and working closely with their Global Head of Learning & Development, and supported by a direct report. The role will see you play a key role in developing the firms’ global L&D strategy, be the “champion” and subject matter expert for L&D globally, and to design and deliver regular bespoke training to lawyers and business support staff across EMEA.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced L&D Manager looking for a new challenge and the chance to operate as a true second in command, but they would also consider an highly experienced L&D Advisor looking to make the step up to L&D Manager.
Solid experience gained within L&D in a commercial law firm (or potentially other professional services environment) is required, as well as extensive experience on the design and delivering side.
Duties include;
- Work closely with the Global Head of L&D to drive forward the firm’s L&D strategy, in line with their business plan and commercial objectives.
- Play a key part in the design and development of career frameworks for lawyers and business services staff.
- Provide day-to-day management and guidance to the L&D Co-ordinator, and others as the team grows.
- Design, revamp, and deliver a range of learning programmes focused to staff at all levels, including senior solicitors.
- Identify, design, and source external learning programmes and bespoke events.
- Act as a trusted advisor and first point of contact to senior stakeholders across international offices, on learning solutions and career development.
- Work closely with the wider HR team, and other key colleagues, to ensure consistency and quality across all offices and departments.
- Manage the L&D budgets for internal programmes and external suppliers.
- Partner with the Graduate Recruitment & Development team on trainee development and progression.
Salary is highly competitive and they also offer excellent benefits and the chance to work with a growing and highly respected international law firm.
