We are proud to recruit on behalf of our Quedgeley based client who specialises in spectacle lens manufacturing and supply. No previous experience is required for this role as full training will be provided, all you need is to be keen to learn, IT literate, and possess a friendly nature. This is a role in a fast-paced environment, which requires you to stand for long periods boxing freight. Candidates should be able to lift 10-20kg on occasion.
Key Duties:
- Processing orders through our ERP system (Lensware)
- Ensuring orders are routed and processed correctly and ready for booking on to courier service
- Booking on orders to courier services via webpages
- Making up flat pack boxes (to send out freight)
- Boxing up of orders (averaging around 300 packages a day currently with growth expected soon)
- Liaising and querying with other colleagues/departments in relation to a specific order
- Some clerical work and use of IT systems
- Applying attention to detail when carrying out inspections of lens quality
- Guarantee that all assigned daily tasks are completed
Person Specification:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A good standard of written and spoken English and Maths
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrates a passion and commitment to service excellence
- Efficient, practical, and with demonstrable attention to detail
- Capable and confident in using computer systems regularly within the role
