Overview

Are you looking for the freedom of self-employment with the support of an established independent financial planning firm? Our client provides independent, whole-of-market advice on investments, pensions, insurance, mortgages, and equity release. We’re not backed by private equity which means we prioritise client service and adviser relationships over shareholder returns. We’re expanding our adviser team and are looking for driven professionals who want to work under a flexible, fair, and transparent self-employed model.
Who this role could suit:
- Advisers currently in firms being acquired by consolidators who want to join a non-PE backed, independent business.
- Those seeking a smaller, more personal firm with direct access to decision-makers.
- Early-stage self-employed advisers who may be overlooked by larger firms – we focus on potential, not just the size of your client bank.
- Advisers currently in restricted models (e.g., SJP) wanting to move to independent status and bring their clients with them.
Our offer:
- Independent: Full access to the whole market, with no restrictions on product choice.
- Supportive: You’ll have systems, licences, FCA fees, and PI cover all handled for you.
- Fair, tiered fee split: £40,000 annual minimum contribution to the firm, £500/month for licences, FCA, and PI (deducted after fee split).
- Initial business: 50%
- Ongoing business: Tiered from 50% to 65%+ depending on revenue levels. Example: £250,000 ongoing revenue (no initial business) would see you retain 53.6% after deductions.
- Flexibility to adjust terms for high-performing advisers.
Why join Principle Financial Planning?
- Freedom to focus on client service without unnecessary corporate targets.
- Potential to take over existing clients in your region as the business grows.
- A long-term home for advisers who value independence, fairness, and professional integrity.
