The role: Reporting directly to the Head of Property & Development, the Property Inspector will oversee responsive repairs, manage void properties, ensure works are delivered on time and within budget, and maintain the highest standards of quality and value for money.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee responsive repairs and void property works, ensuring swift completion and minimal void periods.
- Monitor contractor performance, carry out post-inspections, and ensure all works meet required specifications.
- Liaise with tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent communication and customer satisfaction.
- Manage Stage 1 complaints, investigating issues and ensuring fair and timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate data on our property management and stock condition systems.
- Collaborate with surveyors, contractors, and colleagues to diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues.
- Attend weekly planning meetings, prepare progress reports, and contribute to efficient project delivery.
- Lead or support property-related projects, including stock condition surveys and tenant engagement panels.
- Monitor contractor health and safety compliance and ensure all works meet statutory standards.
- Ensure expenditure stays within budget, authorising works in line with delegated limits, and verifying invoices prior to payment.
