Based at our Production Facility at Rotherwas, due to the continuing growth of the Manufacturing and Despatch departments, an opportunity has arisen for a
TECHTEST DESPATCH OPERATIVE
, to work in close association with the Production Management, Despatch Operations Controller, and Despatch Lead Operative ensuring despatch targets and build standards are met and to provide support to the Despatch Department with the preparation of Techtest products for storage or despatch.
Although relevant experience would prove advantageous, it is not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture of Search and Rescue equipment and providing despatch cover and support in the event of absence or increased workload and ideally possess:
- Good organisational and communication skills and a sound work ethic.
- A manufacturing background is preferable but not essential.
- Ability to read technical drawings would be advantageous.
- Full conversancy with Techtest build standards and to support robust operational and administrative controls.
Other duties include but are not limited to
- Adherence to strict production paperwork and packing standards.
- The generation and application of product labelling.
- The preparation of components for despatch or stock holding.
- Cost of living reviews carried out annually by the Directors.
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off (to be taken any time in the year).
- Long service holiday accrual scheme where you gain 1 extra holiday day per year from 5-10 years’ service up to a maximum of 26 days.
- Life Insurance Scheme – 3x annual salary.

- Hours are based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.30 pm with half an hour each day for lunch. No weekend, evening or bank holiday working.

- Free internal training provided as required. Due to the nature of the business being a manufacturing environment, working from home arrangements are not available.
