Based at our Production Facility at Rotherwas, due to the continuing growth of the Manufacturing and Despatch departments, an opportunity has arisen for a

TECHTEST 500 SERIES LEAD ASSEMBLER , to work in close association with the TECHTEST PRODUCTION MANAGER and Existing 500 SERIES SUPERVISOR to oversee the existing Techtest 500 Series department staff and ensure that all Techtest products are assembled to the required standard and in a timely manner, and to provide support to the existing 500 Series Supervisor.

Although relevant experience would prove advantageous, it is not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture of Search and Rescue equipment and providing cover and support in the event of absence or increased workload and ideally possess:

  • Good organisational and communication skills and a sound work ethic.
  • A manufacturing background is preferable but not essential.
  • Ability to read technical drawings would be advantageous.
  • Full conversancy with Techtest build standards and to support robust operational and administrative controls.
  • Providing Supervisory support in the event of Supervisor absence.
  • Identification and labelling of kit boxes in accordance with Preservation of Product guidelines.
  • Kit Logistics (i. e. collection of kits from Stores, transfer of manufactured components to and from Inspection racks, and submittal of completed goods to the Dispatch Dept.).

Other duties include but are not limited to

  • Maintain control of ordering, receipt, shelf-life expiry and distribution of consumable products.
  • Liaise with the Engineering Department to resolve build issues.
  • Attend management direction meetings in the event of Supervisor absence.
  • Cost of living reviews carried out annually by the Directors.
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off (to be taken any time in the year).
  • Long service holiday accrual scheme where you gain 1 extra holiday day per year from 5-10 years’ service up to a maximum of 26 days.
  • Life Insurance Scheme – 3x annual salary.
