Our client is a leader in their field and require an experienced QA Technician to provide technical support across the site with emphasis on laboratory work and site wide compliance to food safety and quality management systems.
To be a visible presence within the Operations Team with a focus on ensuring our customers receive products that are fully compliant to the specifications provided.
Duties and Responsibiliies
- Collate and verify Co As, liaising with suppliers where specification is not met.
- Conduct GMP (Good Manufacturing Practise) audits as per the schedule.
- Conduct spot-checks and hygiene checks on the production line.
- Support the maintenance of the company’s Food Safety & Quality Management System and BRCGS Standard Compliance.
- Raise and investigate non-conformities, holding/quarantining stock where necessary.
- Support with investigation on customer complaints.
- Undertake general laboratory duties including microbiological, chemical & organoleptic testing on finished products, raw materials and water samples.
- Conduct environmental monitoring such as ATP, micro swabs and air plates.
- Prepare various types of agar/media and dispose of laboratory waste using autoclave.
- Completion of factory and laboratory equipment calibrations as required.
- Daily temperature verification checks on equipment.
- Reading and interpretation of micro plate results.
